Remains of stable block, now farmbuildings. Mid-to late C18, reduced
in late C19 or early C20. Red brick with some stone dressings.
Hipped slate roof, pyramidal over pavilion. Remaining north range of
a former U-shaped stable block with former corner pavilion to north-
west and cartshed range adjoining to north-east. 2 storeys. Stone
plinth and moulded stone eaves cornice. South front: 8 bays, glazing
bar sashes with stone cills and gauged-brick heads. First-floor
window to right cut down to form loft opening. Doorway in fourth bay
from right with C20 boarded door and radial fanlight with gauged-brick
round arch. Doorways in first and second bays from left with 3-part
rectangular overlight; that to left has door with 6 flush panels too.
Doorway in second bay from right with pair of half-glazed boarded doors
and gauged-brick depressed arch. Left-hand pavilion with evidence of
former west range (see former roof line and former first-floor doorway).
2-bay left-hand return front with remains of stone plat band. Right-
hand return front with blocked first-floor opening and ground-floor
boarded door. One-storey rear wing. Cartshed with 7 gauged-brick
depressed arches (3 blocked). Inserted C20 door and window to left.
Interior not inspected. A late C18 map (c.1795) of the estate shows
the former U-shaped stable block which is labelled the "new stables".
Hawkstone Park Farmhouse is not included on this list. Shropshire
