drive to Old Vicarage

GV II

Gate piers, gates and railings. Circa 1845. Gate piers: limestone ashlar;
square section with moulded plinth and pyramidal capping, forming entrances
at north-west corner of churchyard, in front of west tower of Church of
St Edward (q.v.) and flanking drive to Old Vicarage (q.v.). Wrought-iron
railings approximately 40m in length, nail-headed finials and pointed standards;
gates, also wrought-iron, have socket for former lamp above. Included for
group value.
