Farmhouse. Late C16, altered probably in C17, and modernised. Rendered over
local stone, slate roof, 3 chimneys rendered to centre, brick gable end
chimneys, right one early. 3 cell cross passage plan. 2 storeys, 4 windows;
modern casements, raking buttress to left centre; C20 gabled porch to right of
centre. Interior, cross-passage behind large stack. Hall has plank and muntin
screen with arched doorway and hollow-chamfered beam, latter with evidence of
spine beam, probably removed when floor altered C17. Inner room also has hollow
chamfer beam; kitchen chamfer beam with pyramid stop; roof over central first
floor room had plastered, and whitewashed underside; timber frame wattle and
daub partition extends up above hall-screen, principals said to be upper crucks,
