Long stucco house facing Vivary Park. Early C19. Two storeys plus basement. Slate roof. Plain pilasters. Gabled extension comes forward in centre of front. Five windows, sashes with glazing bars, some rectangular hoodmoulds. Two storey extension to west with single lights flanked by niches. Round headed doorway and wall with pilasters runs west along street to join No 6.

Nos 1 to 14 (consec) Upper High Street, the listed buildings in Vivary Park and Mount Street form a group together with the School, Unitarian Chapel, The Lawn and Mary Street House in Mary Street, and Wilton House and ornamental column in Hammets Walk.
