A substantial brick house dated 1705 in its own grounds to west of Vivary Park.
Colourwashed. Entrance front is 2 storeys, rising to 3 storeys in centre with
swept parapets. Slate roof. Sundial at 1st floor level to rear. 7 windows, sashes
with glazing bars. Doorcase with Corinthian columns supporting entablature with
parapet containing shield. Round headed doorway with imposts. 2 storey garden
wing, much altered. Large projecting modern bay on garden side.

Wilton House and ornamental column together with Nos 1 to 14 (consec) Upper High Street,
the listed buildings in Vivary Park and Mount Street, the School, Unitarian Chapel,
the Lawn and Mary Street House in Mary Street, form a group.
