Barn. Late C17 or early C18 with late C18/early C19 addition.
Timber framed, weatherboarded, on stone plinth, with corrugated
iron roof. 3 timber-framed bays with central midstrey. Fourth
bay added to left in late C18/early C19. Hipped roof. Low
double doors to front, full-height to rear. Later lean-to to
right. Interior: posts with ogee-undercut jowls. Arch-braced
tie beams. Clasped purlin roof with diminishing principal rafters.
Left end bay similarly roofed with no ridge-piece. Broadly-spaced
studs, virtually unaltered. Broad tension braces to right and
left gable ends and, slightly straighter, to sides. Original
left gable end re-assembled at left end of added bay. Protruding
pegs.
