Formerly known as: The District Nurses Cottage and other
cottages WINKFIELD STREET.
House. Late C16, front rebuilt in late C18, altered C20.
MATERIALS: timber frame encased in brick, some frame visible
at sides. Old tile hipped roof.
PLAN: rectangular plan, with extensions at rear.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. One off-centre chimney with pots. One
very large offset chimney with narrow bricks joined at left
with roof extension, 2 stacks with clay pots set diagonal lyon
base. C20 leaded casement windows. Entrance front, west,
irregular fenestration. Six 2-light windows on first floor.
3:2:3:2-light windows on ground floor with segmental arched
heads. French casement doors between first and second windows.
Entrance now in small C20 lean-to extension set back behind
chimney on left.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
