GV II

House. Dated 1850. Coursed squared stone and rubble stone with quoins and stone
dressings. Collyweston slate roof, catslide to rear, with moulded stone end stacks.
Stone coped gables. 2 storeys of 2 6/6 sash windows in stone frames. Central
moulded stone doorway with 4-centred arch, carved spandrels and hood mould. Door
with 3 long panels and tiny central glazed panel. Above this a blind window frame
with hood mould. Within this a carved stone cartouche with crest in high relief
over. Cartouche inscribed 'C.G.N. MDCCCL', for Cosmo George Nevill. V.C.H.,
Vol. V.
