26.1.67 II

House. c.1720-1730, altered C20. Red brick in English bond,
plain tiled roof, 2 C20 brick gable stacks. L-plan. 2 storey, 5
bay front arranged 2:1:2, the central bay being advanced and
separately gabled. First floor band and dentillated wooden eaves
cornice. Central 6 panel door with wood panelled reveals, and
C20 pedimented surround, flanked by pairs of glazing bar sashes.
To first floor are 5 similar windows. All windows have segmental
brick heads with keyblocks. Interior: retains c.1720 dogleg
staircase with knopped and turned balusters, 6 panel doors with
pedimented overdoors, fine contemporary fireplaces and cupboard
joinery with egg and dart and acanthus details.
