1865. Red brick; single-storeyed. Gabled ends, that to west has 3 windows (the
central raised in gable) with semi-circular heads of yellow brick and cast iron
windows, generally damaged and glassless; 3 similar windows to each return side;
pilasters; parapets to gabled ends; slates; stone inscribed NCIB and above date.
No headstock or machinery remain apart from cast iron capstan winding pullies.
Long disused and generally in dilapidated condition.

the former New Hawne Colliery and Offices. workshops and stores at the former
New Hawne Colliery form a group.
