Later C19. Consists of the gatehouse at the southern end, and a pair of cottages.
Red brick with some blue banding. Slate roof with cresting. Gatehouse, 2 storeys,
oriel bay over entrance with carved brick plaques underneath. Porch with corner
pillar. Cottages, irregular plan. 2 storeys, unbarred sash windows in advanced
gabled ends. Large decorative chimneys. Large gothic terracotta arched doorway.
Bas relief of boat on sea with "Security" written below.

The buildings and wall of the listed part of Fairfield Match Works form a group
important in both the social and economic history of Bow.
