1851 iron gates preserved from St Peter's Hospital (Fishmongers' Almhouses)
formerly on the site and re-used in 1928 to form main entrance of Estate
(LCC arms inserted in overthrow). Other items from the hospital include 2 stone
cartouches re-fixed to caps of gate piers; 2 stone ball finials in front courtyard;
and 3 stone coats-of-arms, coloured and gilded in entrance archway of Newlyn House.
