Row of houses. Early C19. Brick. Low slate mansard. 4 storeys, 3 windows wide
(No 4 is 5 windows wide with 1-window return to left). Well preserved earlier
C19 shopfront to No4, which has curved corner. Flattish, curved sided bow
windows to other houses. Channelled stucco to ground floor. Unfluted Greek
Ionic columns flanking bows and entrances. Panelled doors. Continuous cast iron
balcony to first floor. Square headed windows, gauged heads, sashes, glazing
bars, French casements to first floor. Nos 5 and 6 with stucco architraves,
probably later . No 4 with stucco architraves to centre windows only and
return. Cornice above third floor.
