House and shop. 1791. Brown brick, slate roof. 3 storeys and dormered mansard. 3
windows wide. Ground floor has rare survival of original shop front, wood with compo
decoration, 2 slightly projecting bay windows with thin mullions and central thin
transom panelled risers, each side of shop double panelled and glazed shop door with
rectangular fanlight and house door to left of 5 fielded and fluted edge panels with
patterned rectangular fanlight all beneath an ornamented fascia (bowed over shop)
supported by slender rope beaded and panelled pilaster strips with caps decorated
with lyre and trumpet motifs. The upper floors have widely spaced recessed C19 sashes
in pilastered reveals with flat gauged arches. Parapet with coping. Simple interior
cornice details and dog leg staircase.
