Pair of terraced houses. Early C19. Yellow stock brick with
plain stucco 1st floor sill band. 3 storeys and basements. 2
windows each. Gauged brick round-arches with stucco keystones
and impost bands to doorways having C20 radial fanlights and
panelled doors. Gauged brick flat arches to recessed sashes;
1st floor with good cast-iron balconies and margin glazing.
Parapet with recessed panels above windows. INTERIORS: not
inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached low brick garden
walls with spearhead finials; gate piers and gates.
HISTORICAL NOTE: in their early days known as Langham Place;
No.25 was briefly the home of John Constable and family.
