House, now divided into flats. Early C19 with later C19 extensions to rear,
refurbished and divided into flats circa 1980. Painted brick with stucco
quoins; painted brick stacks and chimneyshafts; slate roof.

Plan: Main block faces south east towards the Church of St Martin (q.v.). It
has a double depth plan. Central entrance hall and main staircase with front
and back rooms each side heated by projecting gable-end stacks (most now
disused). Former services and extensions to rear. Parallel block linked to
rear of the main block by a short crosswing.

2 storeys with attic rooms in the roofspace and basements below rear blocks.

Exterior: Symmetrical 3- window front of C19 sash windows; 16-pane sashes to
the outer bays and central first floor 12-pane sash. Central front doorway
contains a 4-panel door with an overlight behind a stucco Tuscan porch with
moulded entablature. Stucco quoins on the end corners and flat stucco band at
first floor level. Plain eaves and main roof is gable-ended. Rear end
extensions have various C19 and C20 windows but gable-ended rear block
includes a number of sash windows with margin panes.
