Traditional C18 farmhouse with hind's cottage attached. Main house of two
storeys, three windows, wide proportions. Roughcast walls, pantiled roof with
end chimneys. Stone cills to late C19 windows in wood architraves. Six-panel
door, oblong fanlight with margin lights. Wood doorcase of fluted pilasters and
entablature. No 44 is of similar materials and has two windows on 1st floor.
Late C19 sash windows in exposed box frames; modern door with small window
inserted to right. (Car port and garage extension at left of Northern Grange
Farmhouse of no interest.)
