Farmhouse and shippon. "EW FW 1766" (Walker) on tablet
above door. Squared rubble with graduated stone slate roof,
brick additions and brick chimney stacks. 3-bay central-
entrance plan with 2 storeys, continuous rear outshut and
shippon under continuous roof to east. Plain central door
flanked by 5-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion
windows (each with 2 mullions removed). 2 similar 5-light
flush mullion windows on first floor and a casement window
above the door. 2 chimney stacks. Various hayloft and door
openings to the shippon. Reference in A.Holt Story of
Mossley.
