Farmhouse,now 3 cottages, and barn. "1745 RWAW" (Robert and
Ann Whitehead) on door lintel but with later additions and
alterations. Hammer-dressed watershot stone with graduated
stone slate roof. Single-depth range totalling 5 bays and 2
storeys with barn to left and later range added to rear. Bay
1 has a door to left (now window) with dressed surround, a
4-light recessed flat-faced ground floor mullion window and
a 7-light on the first floor. Bays 2, 3 and 4 constitute the
earlier part,bay 2 having altered window openings with C20
casements whereas bays 3 and 4 have 4 and 2-light double-
chamfered cavetto-moulded mullion ground floor windows, a
similar 3-light on the first floor and later 3 and 2-light
windows. Bay 5 has a 2 and 3-light window. The former gable
entrance with dated lintel is obscured by an C18 addition.
Ridge chimney stacks. 3, 4 and 7-light recessed flat-faced
mullion windows to rear. Cart entry and shippon door to
barn.
