House, now 2 shops. Mid C18 front, rear parts probably earlier. Late C19
and C20 shopfronts. Red brick with plaster coved eaves cornice and
slated roof. A wide 3-storeys, 3 windows, deep-plan house on pavement
facing N with 2 shopfronts now occupying ground floor with carriageway
through left hand end into rear yard. Upper floors have recessed sash
windows with segmental arches, painted reveals and 10/10 panes. W window
on 1st floor a canted oriel with 12/12 pane sashes, moulded cornice and
ogee plaster apron. Outbuildings visible from Akeman Street have steep
old red tile roofs. 6-panel double doors on street to carriageway.
