House and shop. C17, dated 1681 in blue headers. Timber framed and clad in
red brick and tile hanging; plain tile roof. 2 storeys on plinth, with plat
band. Roof gabled to left with projecting end stack, hipped to right with
ridge stack. Of 2 builds. Left: red brick, two C19 sash windows to first
floor, 2 glazing bar sashes to ground floor, to left in large blocked
segment-headed opening, to right in round-arched opening. Door to centre
left of 6 fielded panels, with flat hood on brackets. To right: (the
Butcher's shop). C18 extension, tile hung on first floor with 1 glazing bar
sash. C19 shop front on ground floor with pentice on 3 cast iron pillars and
wrought iron scrolled brackets. Large beam with game hooks to left. Rear
and side elevations, tile hung to first floor.
