No 1 Goodens Cottages


Cottage. Late C18. Coursed and galletted rubble stone with red brick quoins and
dressings. Plain tiled roof with right end stack. Red and blue brick first floor to
left side, weather-boarding in gable of right side. Two storeys; 2 windows. Mixture
of C19 and C20 casements, on ground floor in segment-headed surrounds. Central
boarded door with flat hood. Included as a good example of modest domestic building
of traditional regional type.
