House, late C18. Whitewashed scored render on stone rubble, slate
roof with gable chimneys. Three-bay double-pile plan. Three
storeys, symmetrical, in plain Georgian style: bands at window-head
level on all floors; central round-headed doorway has fanlight with
radiating glazing bars, Tuscan pilasters and open pediment; 4 windows
at ground floor and 5 on both floors above are all sashed without
glazing bars, and 2nd floor windows are small. Rear wall has in
the centre 2 tall stairlights with glazing bars, the lower one round-
headed with glazing bars continued as intersecting tracery; and various
sashed windows also with glazing bars. At left side of house is a
lower 2-storey service extension with stone slate roof. Interior:
original panelled doors and doorcases.
