Stained glass east window of 1969 to George Batson Stillman and his wife Minnie Belton Stillman. L panel: Mary Blessed Virgin in purple with blue cloak. Above is her symbol the white lily of purity. Mid panel: Standing on the Earth and above the Universe, the Son of God holds the sceptre of power and signs a blessing. Behind him is the Kingdom of Heaven. Above, the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove. R Panel: St John, a young man ready to write the Gospels. Above him is his symbol, a goblet of poison that he defeats by faith in Jesus. The three in these panels were present as statuettes, on top of the chancel screen, in almost all of our churches before the Reformation. (Photo Apr 2008).
