Nos 21 to 23 (odd)

Pair of single-unit cottages, perhaps with core of c16, altered & refronted
later so perhaps originally a single dwelling. Rough-cast over brick, with
indications of box frame; 2 posts visible in N.W. wall, another in the
middle of the facade. Coursed and squared projecting chimney on N.W. wall,
with one dated stone, 1641, lettering on a recessed field. Facade now has
dentilled eaves cornice, though roof formerly thatched. 2 doorways together
in middle of elevation, plank doors beneath segmental arched heads. Windows
(C20) are 12-light casements with segmental arched heads on ground floor, flat
heads in dormers above.
