Restaurant. Circa 1760-1770, altered and extended C19 and C20. Red brick, C20
interlocking tile roof, flanking brick chimneys with pairs of linked square
shafts. L-plan with extensions to rear wing, in rear angle and to right of front
wing. 2 storeys and attic, 3-bay front. Plinth, off-set band courses at first
and second floor levels, moulded brick eaves cornice with modillions, zig-zag
gable verges. Ground floor outer bays have C20 flat-roofed wooden, oriel windows
on brackets. First floor has C20 barred wooden casements with transoms, 3-light
flanking 2-light, all retaining original gauged brick heads. Large C20 flat-
roofed dormer to left. Central C20 half-glazed door with gabled wooden hood
on brackets. C20 single storey brick and slate extension to right is not of
special interest. Rear wing of original block is of 1 1/2 bays, with C20 fene-
stration similar to that of front. C20 door with gauged heads. C19 full-height
extension to far end. Further C20 extensions in rear angle.
