Includes No 1 Noel Road, Edgbaston. Early C19. Stucco; slate roof with guilloche
frieze and bracketted eaves cornice. Two storeys; the facade to Monument Road
symmetrical of 3 bays plus, on the left, one bay, ie the return of Noel House marked
off by a pilaster. Ground floor with banded rustication, 2 windows set in shallow
recesses, the panelled door to No 265 Monument Road with side lights, patterae
decoration and cornice on coupled brackets and another window set in a shallow
recess. Band at first floor level. First floor with 4 windows, that over the
entrance to No 265 Monument Road in a deeper recess than the others. All windows
sashes with glazing bars and blank panels beneath them. On the left-hand return,
the entrance to No 1 Noel Road where the 3-bay facade is identical to that of
No 265 Monument Road. All windows with glazing bars.
