2 terraced houses and shop. C18, re-fronted in mid C19. Red brick, rendered
brickwork and black pantiles. 'L'-shaped plan with rear outshut. 2 storeys
with rear range of I½ storeys. Facade of 8 bays with western entrance door
with double reveal and 4 centred gauged brick arch and blank windows at ground
and first floor level. Double shop front, with central doors with fanlight.
East doors, with fanlight with glazing bars and flat gauged brick arch. Parapet
verges with end stacks. Central axial stack. Rear range at west end with
C19 casement window, gabled dormer and north parapet gable. Outshut with
brick corbelled eaves and C20 flat roofed dormer. Wrought iron railings with
finials and central gate to Carleton House on dwarf gault brick wall with
date stone dated 1884.- Included for group value.
