Row of 5 cottages with barn and cottage at right angles. C18. Cottages
whitewashed clunch with brick dressings, red pantiled roofs, barn coursed
squared clunch with brick dressings, red pantiled roof. Row of 4 2-storey
cottages, 3-stead barn partly converted to 2 storey cottage. Cottage at south
end of row with one ground floor 2-light and 2 first floor 2-light casements
with wooden frames and lead glazing bars. Lean-to porch. Next cottage to
north with one ground floor 3-light casement, first floor casements with
lead glazing bars, boarded door with rectangular light with lead glazing bars.
Next to north with one ground floor 2-light and 2 first floor 2-light casements
with leaded glazing bars, part glazed C20 door. Next cottage to north with
one ground floor 3-light and 2 first floor 2-light casements with leaded
glazing bars. Whitewashed brick dressings to all openings. One central axial
stack, one north gable and one south axial stack. Included primarily for
surviving casement windows. Barn attached at right angles c.1700 with central
cart entrance filled in and west bay converted into 2 storey cottage.
One ground and one first floor windows, 2 light casements with glazing bars.
Boarded door with open gabled canopy. Brick buttress to west. West gable
with brick quoins, brick tumbling-in, chequer work brick and clunch, apex
with brick arch to now illegible datestone, brick stack above. Whitewashed
clunch single storey lean-to at junction with row of cottages. Single storey
row of barns continue to west to roadway : clunch with brick dressings, red
pantiled roofs.
