Small house: 1848, for the National Co-operative Land Company by
F. O'Connor: altered C20. Brick on stone plinth, slate roof;
large concrete tile to extension. Three bay front, parallel late
C20 rear extension, single storey. Centre bay projects slightly
with gable over: glazed front door up one stone step: narrow
single-light casement windows each side: 2-light casements in
wings, all under painted lintels, probably rubbed brick arches.
Door and windows late C20. Plain string course to gable, slightly
projecting eaves and verge brickwork: stone quatrefoil ventilator
in gable, plain verge rafters. Chimney right gable and centre rear
only. Included principally for historical and sociological
interest; forms group with other Chartist cottages (q.v.);
originally with 4-acre plot.
