Early C18. Red brick wall dividing forecourt and running down to the central one of
3 square brick piers supporting stone urns. These piers hold 2 sets of wrought iron
gates with ornamental overthrows. Low, stone-coped walls at either side support
wrought iron railings and stretch to lower side piers of brick, also with stone urns.

No 3 (Essex Coach House) forms a group with No 4 (Essex House) and No 5 (Arnoside
and Arnoside Cottage) and the forecourt railings and gates.

Forecourt Walls, Railings and Gates to No 4 (Essex House) and No 5 (Arnoside) shall
be amended to read

Forecourt Walls, Railings and Gates to No 4 (Essex House) and No 5 (Arnoside House).

The group value note should be amended to read

No 3 (Essex Coach House) forms a group with no 4 (Essex House) and No 5
