Circa 1800 stepped terrace, each house 3 storeys and sunk basement, 2 windows.
Stock brick with stone-coped parapet. Much rebuilding to 2 outer houses. Gauged
red brick window arches now stuccoed (or replaced by stone lintels in outer
houses). Sash windows, mostly with glazing bars. Doors of 6 panels. Nos 139,
141 and 143 have fluted head and patterned radial fanlight in vermiculate rusticated
doorway. No 137 has oblong fanlight and plain surround. No 145 has shallow
rounded bow with entablature (possibly once a shop front) and altered door.
No 147 has large mid C19 shop front with composite pilasters and entablature
with dentil cornice, panelled stallrisers and original glazing. Outer houses
included mainly for group value.
