Lodge to Hanley Court, now house. Late C18 with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations
and additions. Rendered brick with slate roof. Octagonal plan; two storeys.
North and south sides have large pointed window with Y-tracery and hood mould
above which is a circular window with radiating glazing bars; main entrance in
east side has a hooded canopy on moulded brackets and C20 door. A large C20
addition adjoins the north-west side which is said to replace a former C19
addition. The Lodge is situated at the end of the original main entrance drive
to Hanley Court (qv).
