Halfway House

House. Probably early C17 with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations. Timber-framed with rendered infill on rubble base, roughcast to front and sides, slate roof with brick ridge stack at west end and to right of centre. Three framed bays aligned east/west. Single storey and attic with dormers.
FRAMING: visible at rear; east bay has two rows of rectangular panels from sill to wall-plate, central and west bay have three rows of square panels from sill to wall-plate and short straight upper corner braces.
SOUTH FRONT ELEVATION: there is a C20 oriel window and two 2-light casements on the ground floor and two gabled dormers with 2-light casements. Main entrance to left of central bay has a C20 gabled half-glazed porch and C20 door within. Lean-to addition at rear.
