Farmhouse. C17. West wing with C18 refacing and extension, further C19
and C20 alterations. Timber-framed west wing with painted brick infill
on lias stone plinth, later red brick refacing to south gable end and red
brick later additions, brick stacks, tiled roofs. Straight range aligned
east/west with projecting cross-wing and gabled stair turret (to rear) at
west, main stack at junction with wing (probably originally hall and cross-
wing with stack backing onto through passage), second later stack toward
centre of north elevation; present entrance at centre of main range.
South elevation: 2 storeys with dentilled eaves cornice and string course,
refaced timber-framed gable end of wing to left; C20 fenestration through-
out; 4-light metal casements, one to gable end, one to left and 4 to right
of porch to main range, later porch and heavy ledge door. Framing: complete
at rear and west return of wing; 2 panels from sill to mid-rail and further
2 panels to wall-plate, diagonal bracing sill to mid-rail. Interior: altered,
has large formerly inglenook fireplace.
