Farmhouse, now house. Early C16 with mid C16 block to left. Timber-framed
on red brick plinth and plastered, with plain tiled roofs, half-hipped to
right arch return cross wing. End brick stacks and large stack in centre
at rear. Continuous jetty over ground floor with slight step up to right
at junction between left hand block and wing, all on curved brackets. 2
storeys and garrets with window in garret of cross wing. Slightly irregular
4 window front, large C19 wood framed lattice casements. Boarded and ribbed
door with transom light over in moulded architrave surround to right of centre.
Deep catslide extension to rear. Interior: Substantial timber frame. Large
fireplace with deep wooden bressummer. North east block has side-purlin
roof with collars and diminishing principals. Some curved braces. Wing
has heavier scantling roof with collars and very small spaces between rafters.
Early C18 staircase, brought in circa 1978.
