House. C15, C16 and C17. Rendered timber framing with plain
tile roof. Open hall with storeyed ends. Hall and right cross-
wing second half of C15; left wing, separately framed, early
C16, all roofed at different heights. Re-roofed at same level
late C16/early C17 when attic created and hall floor inserted
to form continuous jetty? 2-storey rear lean-to at left
end mid C17. Now 2 storeys and attic, jettied along front and
formerly at both ends. Plain dragon post survives at left
end. One other bay post visible on ground floor to right of
dragon post. Coved eaves cornice, hipped roof. Off centre
ridge stack to right. Plain central dormer with C20
casements. Regular fenestration of 3 first-floor C20 casements.
C20 canted bays on ground floor to right and centre. Rectangu-
lar C20 brick bay at right end with plain-tiled pentice
over. C20 half-glazed door between canted bays and another in
left end of brick bay. Rear wing to right with timber-framed
core. Interior: in former hall area; moulded end-of-hall
bressumers, moulded posts to central truss, "high" end partition,
evidence for hall window, moulded beams to inserted ceiling,
stone late C16 fireplace. In former right cross-wing, plain
crown post. In left section, fragment of moulded wood front
window jamb and mid Cl7 stone fireplaces to main room and lean-
to on both floors.
