Architect Sir Robert Smirke 1824. 2 storeys ashlar, recently refaced. It
consists of a centre and 2 slightly projecting wings. Parapet and modillion
cornice with a blocking course above the centre. The lst floor has 3 round-headed
windows in the centre portion and 1 square leaded window in each wing wih glazing
bars intact. The ground floor has a wide round-headed doorway with semi-circular
fanlight and double doors of 8 panels each and narrow round-headed window in
each wing. 6 stone steps to street level. Plinth. The interior contains
a stone staircase with I wooden Doric column to each step.
