House. Early C18 (R.C.H.M.). Rubble walls, pebbledashed; graduated greenslate
roof with stone ridge. 2 storeys plus attics. 5 windows, all C20 top hung
casements; central gabled porch with C20 aluminium glazed door. Interior has
4-bay roof of chamfered, angled principals with collars, 2 layers of trenched
purlins and ridge piece, all pegged. Oak staircase of 4 flights through to
attics with closed string, square newels with ball terminals, turned balusters
and moulded handrail. C18 panelled doors to ground and first floor and C17 doors
to attics; panelled partition with initals and date C 1707 and spice cupboard

with initials and date ICS in living room; oak beams with deep chamfers;

smoking loft above chimney. Listed for interior features. Cottage attached to
right (East) side not included.
