Farmhouse. Dated 1623 on lintel of main doorway, with C18 alterations and additions.
Coursed,rubble limestone with gritstone dressings. Quoins, plain gables, intermediate
and end ashlar stacks, and stone slated roof. L-plan. Two storeys, four bays with
single bay advanced gabled wing to north east. Main ranqe and crosswing each have
ground floor 3-light windows with tall ovolo mullions and moulded surrounds beneath
hoodmoulds with stops and above, former 4-light chamfer mullioned windows, now with
single mullions remaining. Ground floor west end has single 2-light flush mullioned
window. Ground floor windows with C19 joinery. Doorway central to main range
with plain stone surround, bracketed flat hood and C19 four panelled door. Two
square tablets above lintel with weathered inscriptions.
