12/93 Boundary wall and railings at
Medford House

GV II

Boundary wall and railings of Medford House (q.v.). Wall and piers
C18, railings late C19/early C20. Spear headed iron railings and
gate in front of main body of house flanked by 2 square ashlar
limestone piers, each with cornice and vase finials. Wall of
coursed, squared and dressed limestone with triangular sectioned
capping continues to right from right hand pier as far as Bank
House, and to left of left hand pier up Church Lane as far as April
Cottage. The latter is broken by a late C18 wooden panelled double
gate, with single gate to right, onto High Street
