Barn and adjoining cartshed. Late C18. Limestone rubble with
dressed stone quoins; stone slate roof to barn; concrete tile roof
to shelter shed; corrugated iron roof to cart store/shelter shed.
Rectangular plan to barn with projecting porches on the north and
south sides; open-fronted shelter-shed to the east gable end,
further open-fronted cart store or shelter shed at right angles at
the south-west corner. South front: central gabled porch with
double plank doors and lean-to with cheeks at front; lean-tos with
plank doors butting up against the porch either side. Double
doorway to north front within lean-to porch with cheeks. Five-bay
shelter shed with square-sectioned stone-built piers at the front
facing south (retaining early feeding trough at rear). Eight-bay
open-fronted cart store/shelter shed at right angles to barn:
machine-sawn timber uprights on pyramidal limestone padstones at
the front.
