House with restaurant in row. Mid C17-mid C18. Coursed squared
and dressed limestone. Rendered facade. Slate roof, concrete tile
at rear. Complex plan, basically comprising two parallel ranges
(the earliest lying at the rear) and large possibly C17 store at
right angles at rear. Three-storey, 2-windowed facade. Gables
over first floor windows. Central C20 part-glazed front door with
plate glass windows either side. Ball finials upper right and
left. Four-pane sashes to first and second floors. C17 range at
rear; two storeys with 2, 3 and 4-light stone-mullioned casements
with stopped hoods. Three-light hollow-chamfered stone-mullioned
casement in gable end of large store at rear. Flat coping at gable
ends, cross saddles. Gable end stacks, one with moulded capping.
Interior; tie beams with deep flat chamfers. Incomplete interior
inspection.
