Large house. Mid C19. Victorian Gothic. Flint walls with flush yellow
brick dressings; quoins, cambered arches with hood-moulds. Slate roof
with decorative bargeboards to gables and centre gablets. Front (west) of
2 storeys, 2 windows in the recessed centre, with unequal gabled sides of
2 storeys and attic, 1 window. Sashes with narrow side panes, with projected
(oriel) frames to the centre. The ground floor has on the north side a
splayed brick bay of 3 sashes, merging into a central porch, having a battered
parapet above a small (corbel table) arcade, the openings being recessed
Tudor arches (the wider north side being the entrance). Massive stacks, one
with 6 separated flues, another with 3 diagonal flues. Other elevations
irregular, with similar features.
