SU 84 SE BENTLEY BENTLEY GREEN

4/45 Green Farmhouse

GV II

House. Late C18. Stucco walls and tile roof. Symmetrical front (north) of
2 storeys and attic, 3 windows (centre blank). ½-hipped roof, with end gables
tile-hung (and with attic casements): eaves have double band of brick dentils.
Plain walls, 1st floor band, plinth (east end wall of brickwork in English bond).
Sashes in exposed frames. Porch of 2 thin columns and 2 pilasters; with moulded
cornice, panelled soffit, architrave, and 6-panelled door. To the west side a
mid C19 rectangular block stands forward, of brickwork and tile, 2 storeys with
3 above a triple window, 1/2-hipped roof with brick dentil eaves, English bond walls,
casements above sashes; inside, a large room has been formed, and part of its rear
wall includes a timber-frame of the Cl7.
