Early C19. Red brick with stucco band above slightly segmental window arches.
Brick modillion eaves cornice and coped parapet. Slate roof. 2 storeys and attic
with 3 dormers. 6 windows, sashes with glazing bars. No 72 has a C19 bay with
unbarred saches, on 1st floor. Nos 73 and 74 have doorways with pilasters, projecting
cornices and low rectangular fanlight. No 72 has a carriageway arch.
All the listed buildings on High Street and Union Street. with the listed street
lamps form a group, together with Nos 1 and 2 and the Parish Church of St Peter
and St Paul, Church Place and with the Red Lion Hotel and No 10 East Street. (No
45, High Street is of local interest).
