8/22 The Farmhouse

Farmhouse, now private house, C17. Timber-frame with plaster and brick infill, on
brick plinth, thatched roof, brick part weatherboarded and tiled addition. 3 bay
timber-frame with C18 bay added to left, C20 wing to rear, 2 storey, outshot to
rear, complete frame exposed. Doorway in narrow central bay with baffle entry
and C19 planked top-lit door. Each side C20 2 or 3-light casement, and in left
addition. On 1st floor C18 2-light casement and similar larger 3-light casements
either side with eyebrows to heads. Weatherboarded 1st floor to left addition
with 2-light casement. Roof hipped with decorated ridge and large 3-flue ridge
stack in centre.
