SX 87 SW OGWELL CROFT ROAD

Cottage. Late C16 or C17, with lower, non-domestic building (possibly a later
addition) at north-east end. Rendered stone, heightened in brick. Corrugated-iron
roof. 2 storeys. Stack with C20 brick top in south-west gable. At north-east
end, in front slope of roof, a stone stack with tapered top surmounted by later
brick shaft. Front wall has C19 wood casement windows, possibly with the remnants
of C16 or C17 head-moulds above. In centre of rear wall a rectangular projection
with small window and lean-to roof, probably a stair turret. Close inspection not
possible.
