Estate cottage. Circa 1877. Local grey limestone rubble with brick dressings ;
slate roof with crested ridge tiles, gabled at ends ; lateral stone stack at left end
with brick shaft, right end stack with brick shaft.
Gothic Revival cottage with an asymmetrical plan of 2 adjoining gabled blocks at
right angles to one another forming an L plan and an entrance porch in the angle.
2 storeys. Asymmetrical 1 : 1 window front, gabled to the front at the left, set
back to the right with a lean-to timber porch with pierced decoration in the angle
between the 2 blocks and a front door in a rounded arch of moulded bricks into the
right hand block. Ornamental barge boards to the left hand block and a gabled dormer
to right of centre. Large 2 and 3-light transomed widnows with triangular heads.
Interior not inspected.
An unspoiled C19 Gothic cottage.
