Neadon Farmhouse

Stables with loft above. Probably C18. Plastered cob with stone rubble in back
wall. Corrugated iron roof with gabled ends. Plan: Small rectangular building
built into bank and back and with ramp and steps to loft doorway at left (south
east) end and ground floor entrance at front. Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical
north front. Doorway at centre with later plank door, window to left and small
loft window above under eaves. To the left also under the eaves 4 pigeon holes, 2
with slate sills. There is a small window on ground floor in right hand gable
end. On left end a ramp with steps to loft doorway. Interior: Both floors
undivided. The first floor is supported on 3 chamfered cross-beams with run-out
stops and unchamfered waney joists. C20 roof structure. Remains of cobbled
ground floor and drainage channel.
